TfEL Framework – Pocket Reference app for iPhone and iPad

The South Australian Teaching for Effective Learning (TfEL) framework describes DECD position on pedagogy for all schools. The TfEL framework supports the collaborative work of teachers by providing a common frame of reference for reflecting on teaching and learning. Domains 2, 3 and 4 describe teachers work with learners.

The SA TfEL Framework was developed by a task force of teachers and leaders from across South Australia and all levels of schooling who identified the characteristics of effective teaching and learning to establish broad domains of teacher action and relevant pedagogy, through extensive consultation with teachers/leaders/academics/policy makers, through an academic literature review of effective approaches to teaching and learning and current thinking about pedagogy across Australia, & through worldwide Academic Reference Group consultation.

The TfEL Framework Guide is designed to support leaders and teachers in working together to reflect on and develop quality learning and teaching. The resource helps bring the framework alive. It provides: stories, snapshots of exemplary practice, teaching strategies, reflective questions, provocative statements, & indicators for teacher and student actions.
